Its medium-intense, golden colour shimmers beautifully in the drops that spill down the walls of the glass. When poured, notes of barrel roast dominate on the nose. Swirling it, the notes that emerge change. Butternut corn, lime, white fleshed peach, and perhaps a hint of tuff at the very end. A full-bodied wine with an almost oily texture. Acids are still strongly present, giving the palate a citrusy tartness. The minerality also appears for a moment on the palate, with a very faint chalky dustiness, but then gives way to the flavours of oak ageing that reappear in the finish.
